# Buying credits

> How to top up credits for Studio and AI Apps, and where each balance is used.

When you need more credits, you can top up any time — no need to wait for a renewal.

## Where to buy

* **In Studio** — click the credits pill in the top bar to top up or upgrade without leaving your project.
* **In AI Apps** — open your balance to purchase more credits for generations.
* **From your account** — manage plans and top-ups in billing.

  Remember that **Studio and AI Apps balances are separate** today. Top up the balance for the product you're using. See [Plans & Credits](/getting-started/plans-and-credits).

## How top-ups work
