# Account security

> Protect your AIClips account with a strong password and two-factor authentication, and manage your active sessions.

Your AIClips account covers your videos, purchases, generations, and any earnings — so it's worth securing well.

## Password

Use a strong, unique password. You can change it any time from your account settings.

## Two-factor authentication (2FA)

Turn on **2FA** to add a second step at sign-in using an authenticator app:

    In security settings, start setup and scan the QR code with your authenticator app.

    Enter a code from the app to confirm and activate 2FA.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Sign in securely">
    From then on, you'll enter a code from your app when you log in.
  </Step>

<Tip>
  Keep your authenticator app and recovery options safe — you'll need them if you get a new phone.
</Tip>

## Staying safe

* AIClips will never ask for your password by email.
* Sign out on shared devices.
* If you sell on the Marketplace, 2FA is strongly recommended to protect your earnings.
