# Canvas & workflows

> Chain AI tools into a repeatable pipeline with the visual Canvas, or let the guided assistant plan multi-step creations for you.

Beyond single generations, AI Apps lets you combine tools into **workflows** — so a multi-step creation becomes one repeatable process.

## The Canvas

The **Canvas** is a visual, drag-and-connect builder. You place nodes — an input, an AI tool, a transformation, an output — and connect them into a pipeline. For example: generate an image, then turn it into a short video, then add a voiceover.

* **Build visually** — no code, just connect steps.
* **Reuse** — save a workflow and run it again with new inputs.

## Guided assistant

Prefer to describe the outcome? The **guided assistant** can plan a multi-step creation for you — it picks the tools, chains them, and estimates the total credit cost before it runs, so you approve before spending.

  Use the Canvas when you want precise control over each step; use the guided assistant when you just want the end result and want the tools chosen for you.

  Multi-step workflows reserve the estimated credits up front and refund anything unused if a run is cancelled or a step fails.
