# Choosing a template

> How templates work in AIClips Studio, what they can hold, and how to pick the right one for your video.

Every Studio video is built on a **template** — a professionally designed, motion-graphics project with slots for your text, colors, and photos. You don't build the animation; you fill in a great one.

## How templates work

A template defines:

* **Text slots** — headings, names, dates, taglines (each with a sensible length limit).
* **Media slots** — where your photos or video clips appear, including a **hero** spot for your best image.
* **Colors** — accent colors you can adjust to match your brand or theme.
* **Format** — the aspect ratio and look (for example, a square social post or a vertical reel).

## Finding the right one

<Steps>

    Hover a suggestion to play a short preview so you can see the motion and layout before choosing.

  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick and continue">
    Choose a template and Vihaan moves on to your text and photos.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## Match the template to your media

<Tip>
  Templates vary in how many photos they feature. If you only have one great image, pick a **single-hero** style; if you have several, a **montage** template shows them all.
</Tip>

<Note>
  The library grows over time as new templates are added. If you can't find the perfect fit, tell Vihaan what's missing — your request helps prioritize new templates.
